I have a 2621 router with a fast ethernet port set for 100 full. The3750 has GigEthernet TX ports and when I set it to 100 full the interface on the 3750 dies. Anyone ever heard of this? I had the same issue on another 2600 connecting to a 6500 sw...

Set the checkpoints ospf to priority 0. I have checkpoint on nokia platform and they are configured to never ever ever be the designated router. Let the routers be the designated router and life is much better.
