I read a rumor that the RV016 does not support split VPN tunnels. See here:http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/lanwan/lanwan-reviews/31525-cisco-rv082-and-rv016-v3-vpn-routers-reviewedMy understanding is that VPN tunnels on my RV042 routers will send in...
I have an RV042 connected to another RV042 via site-to-site VPN. The tunnel has been solid for months, but when I did an actual read/write test between PCs at either endpoint, the speeds were quite slow.Endpoint A has a line speed of 25/5.Endpoint B...
I have two routers, A and B, which have a VPN between them (across the internet). If my understanding of VPNs is correct, then traffic should only be routed acorss the VPN tunnel when a client on the Router A LAN is trying to reach a client or resou...
This is my setup: I have Router 1 in gateway mode, with R2 and R3 behind it, each handling one subnet. Router 1 WAN = 10.1.1.1 LAN = 192.168.1.1 /24Router 2 WAN = 192.168.1.2 LAN = 192.168.2.1 /24Router 3 WAN = 192.168.1....
I have an RV042 running the most recent firmware, and I'd like to know if the following is possible:I'd like to have two subnets, 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24I'd like to have DHCP available on both, with some static DHCP assignments on both.I'd ...
This concerns me as well, but my understanding is that they're only selling off the "Linksys by Cisco" brand. I'm hoping my fleet of RV042 routers continue to be supported by Cisco.
I'm not familiar with Cisco's many product lines. If this is the kind of stuff I need to do, and upgrading is in my future, would you suggest moving up to the SA520, or even something like the Cisco 800 ISR?Thanks again.--Matt
Thanks Thomas.Just to clarify, with an RV180, I'd be able to assign physical ports on the back of the router to differnet subnets? I do all my VLANs in my switches, and don't want to burden the routers (or router appliances) with that.--Matt
I'm not very experienced at this, but I was setting up a dual WAN RV042 a couple of weeks ago, and immediately began having DNS resolution issues (specifically with Facebook). When I changed the DNS servers on BOTH of the WANs to Google's DNS servers,...
I don't know how or if it's possible to set up two SMTP servers, but I know that may ISPs block SMTP traffic that is not directed to one of their SMTP servers. You could try picking just one SMTP server, and find out if it can be conacted on a non-s...
