Problem solved! We added the setting for Gateway to the same server as the DNS. The gateway should not be needed but adding this setting, saving configuration and restarting DMP before setting NTP works. After setting NTP a restart is needed again

We have installed a DNS server which works for all our laptops, but the problem remains unchanged. The server in this case is a Debian Linux server.
