I have an ASA5506X which was running 5.4. I want to upgrade to 6.1.0. That was done from Defence Center. The step until the final 6.1.0 upgrade went well. After the last reboot, the module was "dead".
So I reimage/recover the image per Ciscos guide...
Problem was the ASA itself.
There is a known bug (CSCuw48499) in ASA SW 9.5.1 that caused the problem.
Upgrading the ASA to 9.5.2 fixed the problem, and the module upgrade to 6.1.0 now completed.
The sensor that failed is an ASA5516X, running v5.4.1.4. The module seemed to be running, as DC was receiving logging data from it. According to logging it was allowing and blocking traffic as expected from the Access Control policy. Yet nothing was ...
