Hello Chandu, The difference of 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T and 1000BASE-T. 10BASE-T is the IEEE standard that defines the requirement for sending information at 10 Mbps on unshielded twisted-pair cabling, and defines various aspects of running Ethernet on this cabling. 100BASE-T is the IEEE standard that defines the requirement for sending information at 100 Mbps on unshielded twisted-pair cabling, and defines various aspects of running baseband Ethernet on this cabling. 1000BASE-T (also called gigabit Ethernet) is the IEEE standard that defines the requirement for sending information at 1000 Mbps on unshielded twisted-pair cabling, and defines various aspects of running baseband Ethernet on this cabling. Hello Prasad, Changing the MTU size in general will not cause any impact except if it is VPC domain. But it is advisible that MTU size keep same at both ends. FYI... Changing the MTU value (with the mtu interface configuration command) can affect the IP MTU value. If the current IP MTU value is the same as the MTU value, and you change the MTU value, the IP MTU value will be modified automatically to match the new MTU. However, the reverse is not true; changing the IP MTU value has no effect on the value for the mtu command. Please rate the helpfull posts. Regards, Naidu.

Hi All, I was doing one Nexus 3k switch replacement and following abnormalities what I observed.... 1. After everything done like licensing and config push I enabled the int eht1/25 which is part of Po1 (Po1 have members eth1/25 & 1/26), I found that 1/25 went into suspended state and when enabled 1/26 then both came up and along with PO1.... Why was this case? 2. After confirmed all PO's (uplinks) up and stable I enabled remaining all server connected ports and found all are getting flap (only server ports) When I enabled the all BGP neighbors on the switch then found everything stable including server ports.... why was this case? Sean, The plan what you have is looks good. But why you want go with VTP I would highly recommend keep the edge switches in transperant mode I sean lot of outages due to VTP. If it is highly concern then you are good to go with your plan. Apart from your plan make sure the configuration revision number on the edge ones lesser than core. of course this may not cause anything as long as you kept them in transperant mode but just wanted to make sure everything is taken place before causing any issues. For your scenario ip-default gateway is not required. But the config what you provided may not work. Use the below config and see... Vijay, To establish VSS there are more things you need to be concern and make sure they are in place. Below are the few... 1. The VSS is available on chassis that support VS-S720-10G supervisor engines and WS-X6708-10G switching modules. 2. The VSS requires Supervisor Engine 720 with 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports. You must use either two VS-S720-10G-3C or two VS-S720-10G-3CXL supervisor engine modules. The two supervisor engines must match exactly. Hi, So, you have two nexus 5548's need connect back to back one as CORE other will act as a normal access layer switch.. correct? You have vlans configured on 5548 Core and those should serve to another 5548 (access switch).. correct? If the above is your requirement then connect the access 5548 switch to core via trunk port (switchport mode trunk) so that the vlans on the CORE will travers to the access switch. Hello Jopeti, Can you do the "debug crypto ipsec" and provide details. You need to remember that running debug on the production box is risk, so run it in a non working hours also notify your customer prior to run debug because this may impact the production. Hi Dax, First of of all you no need to have ip-helper address configured on the vlan interface where both dhcp and interface is in same subnet. You need to configure ip-helper address when your dhcp server is in different subnet. So please remove the ip-helper command to fix your issue. Please rate all the helpfull posts. Regards, Naidu.
