PAP2T is in End-Of-Support state for long time. Security bugs, even known, are not fixed - latest firmware can't be considered secure. You will need to ensure security in another way even after the update. Firmware is copyrighted computer program. No one but Cisco can distribute of it. May be, Google may help you to discover an unauthorized source of such firmware.

I don't remember exact result of our SIP over TLS test. But I assume the the TLS setup will take same time regardless the purpose - so delay of SIP over TLS will be same as XML service over TLS. For XML Service delays you can read Cisco XML Phone applicatiosn over https (SSL)

If the Open format profile contains multiple occurrences of the same parameter tag, the last such occurrence overrides any earlier ones. To avoid inadvertently overriding configuration values for a parameter, it is recommended that at most one instance of a parameter be specified in any one profile. True. We have a scenario where we want the incoming calls with auto answer set to be routed to the headset, but paging calls (via multicast) should route to the speaker. Is there any way of acheiving this? If it's possible to specify output device to use for aa-calls in the SIP message, we could set default aa-device to speaker and then add the specific device (the headset) to be used by the aa-option in the SIP message? The setting we currently use for this is Preferred_Audio_Device and it seem to affect both paging calls and "normal" calls with auto answer.

Hi, The headers x-CiscoIPPhoneModelName, x-CiscoIPPhoneDisplay and x-CiscoIPPhoneSDKVersion are present in the HTTP request from the phone when used by for example an XML application or a PSK but not for the HTTP request done for Profile_Rule. On the SPA50x-series it's present in all cases. This is tested on a SPA525G2 with firmware version 7.4.6. Thanks!

Ok, so I've tried around with this and this is what I've found out: URL with :port in -tag in XML app: Supplying the a URL with a port (ie. http://192.168.1.96:8089/ ) in a XML app provided to a 525G, does not work. Supplying a URL with a port in the PSK_X parameter does work. The first page gets loaded but subsequent pages does not load, display says something like "data format error". But supplying an invalid URL to the 504G (ie. Key:Service) exits the application for the "wrong" reason maybe? Thanks in advance!

Is the Application Event Handles part of the Cisco XML App Developer Guide applicable to the SPA500-series? I'm specifically looking into closing an app by pressing a specific softkey (<SoftKeyItem><Name>Exit</Name><URL>App:Close:1:2:app/id</URL><Position>4</Position></SoftKeyItem>, this within a CiscoIPPhoneMenu object. But when pressing the button it gets black and phone locks up. I want the phone to exit to the "normal" screen when pressing this button and closing the application, if app events are not supported, is there any other way to accomplish this? Thanks in advance!
