I cant seem to telnet to other devices from a cisco catalyst switch whenever ip routing is enabled on the switchSince enabling that throws the switch into L3 mode and the ip default-gateway becomes obsolete what can i do?

So i setup a failover active / passive with 2 ASA5520'sPrimary asa has 750 Anyconnect vpn licensing and the secondary asa has 2 Anyconnect licenses I haven't setup the second asa with the new 750 licenses i purchased but when i do a show version...

Currently have a Cisco ASA5520..there is an internal application that communicates on port 80 with an outside host but is not HTML protocol.the ASA seems to block this traffic... any idea why?

Very strange problem... when we put a port back onto a static access vlan port from a 802.1x configured port... basically removing the 802.1x configuration on the port and reconfigure back to static access vlan port the host on the port can no longer...

We actually do not own the AIP-SSM sensor module i was trying to accomplish basic ids with the ASA 5520 only...to log scans to syslog etc.

I will try upgrading the version but the version we are on is pretty much the latest version... i think there is one new version which i upgrade too

ChrisThe way have been simulating the issue is by leaving the host plugged in.1) Remove all the dot1x commands on the interface2) Readd the static access vlan commands on the interface3) Test it (Still no address for host even a manual dhcp renewal)4...
