Thank you for clarifying that, Aleksandar. The documentation is really confusing on this. I don't know why it would be noted that the ACL could be applied to a L2 interface if it isn't going to do anything! thank you,Paul

And..... it turns out that the problem was related to IOS rev. I rolled back from 15-1.3 to 15-1.1 and everything works.

Hardi-I should have mentioned that in this setup, you are running your encryption through GRE tunnels, and as such you will need to have routing in place to access the nodes at the ends of the tunnels.The ACLs allow for GRE to set up the tunnels. So,...
