Hello!
I cannot upgrade from 11.0.1.20000-2 to 11.0.1.22900-14.
First I got the error saying that there is not enough disk space in the common partition to perform the upgrade (referring to CSCul50066).
Then I used ciscocm.free_common_space_v1.3.k3.cop.sgn to free up some space but it failed as well with the error message:
.. the cop file has not been installed because you have more than 25 gb of diskspace in /common...
That was confusing!
Then I experimented with the LogPartitionHigh/Low WatermarksExceeded alerts in RTMT as advised in CSCul50066. No success again.
So after all, I came to the situation that the upgrade process is just hanging, the only thing I can do is to cancel it.
The CLI says the following:
=====================
admin:utils system upgrade status
An error has occured but no messages on the upgrade failure are available . Please review the install logs for additional details.
Upgrade status: Failed Upgrade file: UCSInstall_UCOS_11.0.1.22900-14.sgn.iso Upgrade log: install_log_2016-09-26.05.39.27.log
======================
Could you please advise?

Greetings!
It looks like after installing jabber 11.7 on Win 7, the starting screen of the application doesn't have the "advanced settings" link. So it's impossible to manually indicate CUCM or IM&P IP addresses.
Win 10 or Win 8 users don't have such a problem. Could you please advise what the reason for that can be?

Hello! Could you please give a piece of advice on the following issue? The problem is that my CUCM's (v9.1.2.11900-12) backup file is getting larger and larger with every new backup procedure. Now it is about 9 gb in size! The size is increasing even though I don't do anything with the server - no additional devices are added, nothing at all. What could be the reason for such behavior? Could it be logging or sth.? Is there an option on CUCM which will allow me to see what and how is being backed up?

Hi Aman and Mohammed! thanks a lot for your comments. It looks like I'm really affected by CSCul38509. It is interesting that if I issue DIR and then DIR /R commands the backup process finishes correctly! If I don't do that the backup fails as usual. So I think I'll have to use the workarounds suggested.

Hi Mohammed, thanks a lot for your response! I have installed and run ciscocm.free_common_space utility as you advised. As a result /common/drf directory indeed seems to have enough free space. This error message disappeared, but unfortunately another problem has risen: =========== Result Code : 116-SFTP transfer failed during Backup. Either there is not enough disk space or network transfer failed due to interuption while transferring data to configured SFTP Server Result String : ERROR ===================================================== Free space on /common/drf = 16823664 KB, required space = 6844280 KB Ready for backup ./ .............list of files tar: -: Wrote only 6144 of 10240 bytes tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now Backup failed ----> BEGIN Standard Output ----> END Standard Output ----> BEGIN Standard Error error writing output file gzip: stdout: Broken pipe ----> END Standard Error ============================================= It's strange because sftp server has plenty of free disk space. The communication between CUCM and SFTP server seems to be OK - at least I'm able to update device firmware using it. thanks beforehand for any ideas on the problem!

Hello! Could you please give a piece of advice on my problem? CUCM can't complete the backup process with the following error: =========================== Feature : UCM Component : TFTP Time Completed: *************** Result Code : 1-Unknown TFTP Error Result String : ERROR ===================================================== Free space on /common/drf = 3191432 KB, required space = 3987084 KB Not enough space for backup ----> BEGIN Standard Output ----> END Standard Output ----> BEGIN Standard Error ----> END Standard Error =================================== The sftp server where the backup to be placed has enough dissk space. I tried restarting the local/master DRF services on the CUCM - didn't help. Am I right thinking that I need to clean up /common/drf directory? How can I do so? Thanks a lot!

found out that it has sth to do with URI. If a user doesn't have URI info in the CUCM, then the above issue happens. The URI info is taken from the Active Directory -> attribute editor -> msRTCSIP-PrimaryUser should be filled in. Any way it's just a workaround, to avoid the problem I have to manually edit that attribute for each user.

Greetings! Could you please give a piece of advice on the following issue? When you initially add a contact to your contact list everything works fine: there's a clickable phone button in the highlighted contact. But after some time (for example after the client is relaunched) the dial-by-contact feature just disappears like in the pic. below: Only chat is available. Anyway if you try to make a call you get the follwing error: If you delete the contact and then add it again in a usual way, the problem disappears for a short time and then reproduces itself again. Does anyone have an idea about the reason for that?

You mean in CUCM Administration: user management>user settings>UC service /or Service profile? under UC Service I have 2 items: Integrated CTI and Itegrated Presence Server, both configured under Service profile I have one. Not sure if I got right your words "and to enable it under the user directly (and to select a UC service with IM&P configured)". Could you please clear up?
