Ah, but Brandon, a school != small business. I thought the pricing on the ISA was great and an easy sell. Meraki, I'll give them maybe easy management (no experience). Pricing, not so much. Small businesses put on part time employees at those prices. And I think the ISA looks better in a rack. :p

John, do you have the admin manual? Around page 275 are some examples that may fit your scenario. The manual is here : http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/small_business_security/isa500/administration/guide/ISA500_AG_book.pdf There are a number objects that need to be created and linked, not trivial but the manual worked for me. Sadly, we'll never see a Wizard for this, what should be a relatively simple task.

In the ISA550, the setting is under Firewall - Attack Protection - Block Ping WAN Interface. Unchecked it should respond to a ping.

When is the new release scheduled? Will the frequency of signatue updates increase? After a reboot, my signature is up to date and over a week old.

Jon, I've noticed the same behavior on some ISA550s I manage. Once I forced a reboot of the devices, they updated automatically following the reboot. I then did a manual update and they functioned properly, reporting that the signatures were up to date. I don't know if the automatic update will work, so I'll keep an eye out. Firmware is at 1.2.18 for what that is worth.
