The reason I'm asking is because I had planned to configure SLA monitor between the hub and our remote sites. In building and testing the VPN, as soon as I adminned down my MPLS interface (on the ASA), the tunnel kicked in and communication was back up between my hub and the remote site. As soon as I unshut that same interface, dynamic routes repropagated and I was routing over the MPLS again. Is it just due to the interesting traffic defined between my hub and the remotes that kicks this off? We do have constant jobs as well as monitor our remotes from our hub. I assume the aforementioned will be sufficient in kickstarting the VPN? If so, I don't need to configure SLA monitor? Can anyone think of any shortcomings of my backup IF I don't do SLA monitoring? Any information would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks All.
