PPPOE MRU LCP negotiation failure.

I tray to enable pppoe on the cisco 1841 router but i'm facing lcp negotiation failure  regarding MRU mismatch and the session terminated.i tried to use the both "ppp mtu adaptive" and "ppp-max-payload"  commands but it's not supported on the router ...
