Poor Jabber voice quality

I have been using Jabber for 12 months and it has worked great - that is, until a few weks ago. Now the party on the other side can't hear me - that is, they may hear maybe 1 out of every 3 words. I hear them fine. Any thoughts?

Whether I use 3G or WIFI, same problem - both are strong signals
