Ospf Interface retransmit

Could someone help explain why I keep seeing OSPF interface retransmit messages in my gateway router logs. I run a bunch of foundry routers on my network and have verified that the MTU is set to 1500.Please help....Thanks

Sorry, My network comprises of cisco routers and a couple foundry boxes as well.
