I've recently installed Cisco VPN client on a Win2k server box with dual NICs. Is there any way I can bind the VPN client to only one NIC assigned IP address so that the tunnel will use only that NIC?

Have you done a "show interface" on that ethernet interface to see if you have any errors or collisions? Check and see if you have a duplex mis-match somewhere.

If you're using the version of Hyperterminal that came standard with the operating system, that might be your problem. Try upgrading to Hyperterminal Private Edition and see if that works.

Have you tried using another port to see if the results are still the same? Also, what type of device are you connecting the port to?
