User Activity

Whenever a new user connects to an existing call in Jabber, it kills the audio  for a small time and we all have to stop talking until it rights itself... Sometimes it even kills the audio Any ideas on how we can stop this happening?
I open Proximity on OS X High Sierra 10.13.4 and Proximity crashes straight away, I don't even see the app anymore :(
