I decided to change code logic to take 7.5.6(XU) to 7.5.7 before going to 7.6.1. After I did this it auto provisioning fine. The first call below to

Between each testing attempt I have performed a factory reset. I changed resync_periodic to 180s.
So what I am observing is as follows:
