I am the Vice President of Cloud Services in the Cloud Collaboration Applications Technology Group (CCATG). Here I am responsible for all technical aspects of Cisco’s Collaboration Cloud supporting Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings such as Webex Meetings, Social, Jabber, IM/Presence and Video. We are also developing a delivery platform and associated Iaas & PaaS foundational technologies in a web scale approach.
Prior to Cisco, I served in different roles at Yahoo! including VP of Infrastructure and Operations Strategy, VP of Network Systems & Storage engineering for Yahoo's production and corporate technology infrastructure. We scaled Yahoo!’s technology infrastructure to support hundreds of millions of users and corporate applications with a highly available, high-performance network optimized for content and application distribution dabbling in datacenter and CDN innovations. Previously, I served in related roles at Exodus Communications, and General Manager for Advanced Technology operations at SBC Communications.

Over the last six months, I’ve talked with numerous customers and partners. One thing was clear: People get it. Connecting employees, vendors, partners, and customers – so they can work together with no barriers – makes sense. It saves money and time, and builds relationships. It seems like overnight we landed in a post-PC world – a place where working from anywhere, anytime is how it is every day.
