Hello, We faced the same issue.But restarting the appliance would provide us some response to get console or monitor. This is called Lockdown method for the appliance to protect itself for the security reasons.This happens due to image corrupted.For this reimaging required.And also check for the patches to upgrade. If you are finding any disk read error it could be hardware issue.

Hello, As per your diagram both running on same version.So there may not be any replication issue. Check the reachability between tacacs clients and secondary acs server and also check all services on secondary ACS is running. I mean check the secondary acs config on tacacs client. We have to migrate ACS version from 4.2.0.124.16 to 4.2.1.15.8.The same way we have Remote Agent 4.2.0.124.14 to 4.2.1.15.8(hopefully the both ACS and RA should be running on same version). What is the procedure to upgrade RA on Win 2003...?(Backup file while migration) Do we have to uninstall before proceeding..? ini and config provider file consideration ..? Restoring ...? Anyone's quick help on this would be helpful...

Appreciating your quick response. I just wanted to inform we have restarted the remote agent once before.that was the cause for this problem..? And 1 more thing.We are running on 4.2.0.124.14 version of Remote agent.(but our ACS is 4.2.0.124.16). Do we need to migrate RA also to .16 or its not a problem..? Becase ACS version and Remote Agent should be same right...?

Thanks for your revert We need some suggestions on below quries .. 1)we tried upgrade to 4.2.1.15.8 from 4.2.0.124.16.then we got multiple issues like users in a group e.g:l2group automatically moves to Default group. 2)then we reverted to old version 4.2.0.124.16 but still we are facing the same issue.and also new users have been added to this AD also going to Default group and dynamic mapping is not mapping. We are running on appliance 1113 and RA installed is 4.2.0.124.14. what could be done for this ?? Any imm.help would be appreciated ..

On ACS 4.2.0.124 version installed on Appliance 1113.We are getting error code as "Internal error" and also "Enabling Tacacs+ is not allowed for this Access Server" while client authentication Someone can help me for error reason and steps to be followed.

Hi Mauricio, Unexpectedly we encountered some problem while upgrading.Eventhough we followed the order to install one by one, now software has been currupted and now all services have been stopped and cannot be restarted.No respomnse to console also. we tried Hard rebooted the device Tried re-image the device Restoring the backup file of 4.2.0 to 4.2.1 still issue exists I feel we can revert it bace to 4.2.0.124.how can we do it ?
