Rob, I have a similar issue like when the user presses the message button on her primary number it accesses the voicemailbox of her boss which is the shared line on her second line. So can Ichange this parameter in CM service parameter ?

Max-sessions is the number of sessions. If max-sessions is 6 you can have 6 conference sessions at the same time. The dsp available in the gw decides your number of participants.
