Do you see any nat translation for the traffic when you try to ping internet from behind vlan1?Have you tried to do the test after removing zone security from both interfaces(if possible)?

Hey SteveBy eigrp loop, you mean to say routing loop in the network? Could you do traceroute of some network to see if it loops somewhere?You can reduce bandwidth that eigrp uses on the link by below command. ip bandwidth-percent eigrp.
