I searched on this and found this post:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/985700#985700

"In order to have the 9 pre-pended, you have to go to the translation pattern for this user or every user, under the Calling Party Transformations, Prefix Digits (outgoing) add 9 and save it. In order to have the 9 pre-pended, you have to go to the translation pattern for this user or every user, under the Calling Party Transformations, Prefix Digits (outgoing) add 9 and save it."

My question is this: If I make that change will that affect regular outbound dialing when the users are used to dialing the 9?

Hey G-Man,

There is a nice step by step guide in this doc;

Add Prefix to the Missed Call Number

Cheers!

Thanks Rob!

The only difference is that on CUCM 8.6 the "global" settings are on the gateway configuration and not under the system parameters.

Ah - well... they are still in service parameters as 'global' settings (hidden in 'advanced' settings).. but you can override them at the device pool, or gateway level. Each of those being more specific in that order...

Device pool makes sense in most cases, global/service params if you're on a single country cluster.

Rob's never wrong :-)

I don't think I checked the advanced settings.

I should know by now never to question Rob.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!

I am looking for the same answer for the original post.  I want to pre-pend a 9 to the outbound call log so you can redial a number you've already called without editing it.  The answer given above is placing a 9 on the incoming calls, which I have already done.  I want to leave the 9 on the call log of an outbound call.  Any help would be appreciated!

And yes I'm hijacking this post!  Sorry in advance!

Just an update for people who were taken here by google.

Tested on CUCM version 9 and 10
