We use à AS5400HPX HW with the following card
slot 1 NP 60 DFC
slot 7 E1 8 PRI DFC
the ios is 12.3 based
The configuration of the gateway is for working in H323 protocol with
specific dial-peers for the calls depending on the services.
Form point of vue of the coedc a liste of codec preference has been set
the first one is
g729r8
then the g723r63
according the msgs, in the TCS, we can see that the list is g729a, and g729
There is no command to specify a codec G729 / G729a on the GW
my question is the following.
According différent documentation I have seen on the cisco site, I have understood thatr
the AS5400 / AS5400 HPX is not OK to perform high complexity codec (mean work as G729)
It seems that it is the case when we enter the command

it seems that it is impossible to perform G729 high complexity with AS5400
is some able to confirm this fact.
I have also seen on cisco site that for AS5400XM and AS5350XM(?), it possible to plug Voice feature cards
known as "CIsco High-Density Packet Vice/Fax DSP Module" (AS54-PVDM2-64) and with this card it is poissble to
provide high density voice connectivity. >>>>> Means the Codex complexity could be configured as high complexity
method.
One some other cisco Equipment (ex routeur 3725 it is possible to add NM-HDV Hardware board)
known as Feature voice-card. With this equipment, it is possible to configure high complexity
codec as mentionned in the previous link with conf t + voice-card
so what happens if a such configured router is connected to AS5400HPX with the mentionned configuration ?.
Is the DFC card is able to adapt the communication in high complexity
