Hello
I want activate Auto QoS on a Cisco 2800 Series Router.
If I change in the Giga-Interface config mode and type "auto qos" than I get the information, that this command does't exist.
What's wrong there. Is there no auto qos on this router?
Yours sincerely

Hi,
AutoQos is only available on
- ATM PVCs (high and low subinterfaces only)
- Frame Relay DLCIs (point to point Only)
- Serial interface using PPP or HDLC
Bear in mind there are additional prerequisite config requrements for AutoQos.
It would be a good idea check the feature navigator to see if your IOS supports AutoQos Enterprise (12.3T onwards)
Hope this helps.

Dave Tucker

I have a 2801 and loaded FW ver 12.4(16a) on it and was able to apply AutoQOS on on the FE interface.
Although I haven't tested it yet since my counterpart on the far-end is still setting-up.
Do you this Auto-QOS will not work on the FE port?
Thanks,
Robert

I have only Gigabit-Interfaces.
This is the output of the show version. Maybe this will help?

I don't know if this will help but I am running policy map with class maps applied to the gig interface using service policy command? Is this for voice
12-28-2007 01:08 AM
It's for voice and for other applications.
I can also run QoS with class maps and policy maps. But I would test QoS.

Does nobody has an idea? What could be the problem?

Can you post the exact commands you are entering from the time you login to the router up to and including the error message you receive?

Hello
I do "configure terminal".
Then I do "interface gigabitEthernet 0/0"
And then I will put the command "auto qos".
But there ist no command "auto"
Do I make something wrong?
Best regards

As mentioned in a previous post, auto qos is not available on GigE interfaces on a router. See the following link.
