Hello,

this is a somewhat delicate question as it touches to my understanding some legal aspects as well. There are however some sites in the internet which are helpful with all kind of Cisco Callmanager issues.

One I would consider especially helpful is http://www.ccmstuff.org

Hope this helps! Please rate all posts.

Regards, Martin

This is how to get CallManager 4.1.3 running on non-MCS server.

1. Install Windows 2000 server (15 gig partition). Make all passwords the same, including WIN2K account. (I used " cisco" )

2. Keep all the default installation components,

just add DHCP under ‘Network Services’,

and SNMP under ‘Management and Monitoring tools’.

3. Assign a static IP.

4. If installing in VMware, install VMware tools (under the main VM tab ) .

5. Install SP3 (at-least). (or make an win200 boot CD yourself with slipstream( google: XP slipstream)

6. Setup DHCP scope and options, don't forget to add the CISCO TFTP option 150

7. Copy the text below into a text file and name it with a .reg extension,

double click this file to make the changes to the registry.

7a) ccmreg1.reg

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems\Model]

"Hardware"="MCS7825H02"

"Speed"="2268"

"Memory"="2048"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Spirian\System Info\OS Image]

"Version"="2000.2.6"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Spirian\System Info\OS Service Release]

"Version"="2000.2.6sr5"

7b) install win-OS-Upgrade-K9.2000-2-7.exe

7c) ccmreg2.reg

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems\Model]

"Hardware"="MCS7825H02"

"Speed"="2268"

"Memory"="2048"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems\Spirian]

"ProductKey"="BTOOVQESCCJUIEBI"

"Deployed"="0000000000000000"

8. copy c:\program\cisco\updates\2000 2.7sr5\shutdown.exe naar c:\utils

9. Install CallManager 4.1(3)

ccmsetup.exe

10. Go to Start >> Programs >> CCM 4 >> CallManager Administration and IE will open.

11. Go To Menu >> Application >> CCM Serviceability >> Tools >> Service Activation.

>>Click> on server u want to configure on left hand side.

>>Click> "Cisco RIS Data Collector" and press update.

>>Click> on all the services one by one and press update.

12. You should now have CallManager 4.1(3) running.

13. Upgrade OS and CCM with all patches if needed.

14 you can use P2V to make an copy of an working CM to a VMware machine

two q:

1. one partition or two partitions with 15GB both?

2. please explain nuber 8 in your post...

many thanks
