Hello Everyone,

I am new to Cisco Voice, I want to configure a cisco router "model 1751v", for the Cisco IP phone to work. Can you provide me a procedure on how to configure this router? And what are the software that needs to be loaded on router's flash memory and software/Files that needs to be loaded on the TFTP server? If i already place this topology on the production network am I still need the TFTP server?

Tnx in advance, your response is highly appreciated.

Hi - Do you have a CUCM?  If not, what are you using for call control.

What you inluded will not work with sccp phone loads - it might work with SIP, if you send the calls

to a SIP provider or to the fxo port, being sure to forward the needed digits.

If its a skinny phone, you will needed a callmanager or callmanager express(runs on a router) for dial plan and call control.

Hope this helps.

Hello Chester,

I don't know if CUCM is already installed on the router, so I just share to you the content of router flash:

BTW: I use sccp phone, CISCO IP Phone 7960.

Hello Chester,

Thanks for your support. I am now able to access the web based CISCO Call Manager Express page, and CISCO IPphone is not prompting "Configuring VLAN / Configuring IP address". So what i need to do next? what needs to be configure on the IP Phone and what are the configurations needed on the CME page?

Hope you can guide me through this. Tnx..
