device ID for IP phone 7940G

Has anyone knows how to get the device ID for Cisco IP phone 7940G.?

I am setting up ACS server for 802.1x authentication  of IP phones and this is a requirement to setup an account for IP phones.

Appreciate any feedback.

if you use this command

sh cdp neighbors fastEthernet 0/2 detail (on switch where phone pluged)

it will show you device id and some more information.

switch#show cdp neighbors fastEthernet 2/48 detail

IP address: 10.100.41.200

Platform: Cisco IP Phone 7961, Capabilities: Host Phone Two-port Mac Relay
