We currently use a 5300 for fax receiving and fowarding in email boxes
(as tiff). From some time, we have problems with this setup.
1. Some faxes are incomplete (tiff is received, but it contains only first and last page for a 30 pages fax).
2. Senders are having problems sending faxes to the gateway (retry again & again).
3. Senders sent fax ok but no email is
received at all.
(senders report seems ok)
I tried first to reset gateway, flash them with the most current ios i could get for the 5300 (c5300-is-mz.123-26.bin)
we are using libretto application
app_libretto_onramp9.2.0.0.tcl
someoone can help on this ?
thanks

Can you send "show controllers E1".
10-21-2009 07:24 AM
this command shows nothing

Even if that's the case, it would be better if you let others to double check.

OK, I did not remember the old 5300 show information.
Basically I wanted to look at circuit errors, could be show interface serial, or I will find the command and report here.
Or are you using T1 ?

Yes we are using T1.
i don't see input/output errors
on serial interface

Do you have any output from "show controllers T1" ?

Recommend upgrade to 11.45 and try again.
10-26-2009 12:43 PM
I upgraded from 11.41 to 11.45
then, i have done some testing.
I tried to send some faxes from 2 different fax machines and i got the same problem on both.
I tried to send 5 or 6 fax from a pc and it seems to work every time when sending via a pc (microsoft fax printer).
Any Ideas ?
10-28-2009 11:26 AM
I have done more tests and it seems
that large FAX are always causing problems (more than 25 pages).
Small documents (20 pages or less)
seems ok
Memory of the 5300 is at max (128megs)
