7916 Expansion Console

Hi,

I have attached a 7916 Exapnsion Console, to a 7970 IP Phone.

In CCA when configuring the phone, it only shows an option to choose 7914 or 7914x2 for the connected expansion console.

I tried going through CLI, then changing the type 7970 expand 7916x12 and 7916x24

but this has had no effect.

the console still only shows the Cisco logo, and CCA still doesnt give the 7916 in the dropdown list for expansion console.

in phone loads, the 7916 is ticked though.

Any ideas?

Hello Yasien,

7916 is compatible with 7962G, 7965G, and 7975G models. Please check the following link:

With 7970  you may use 7914 sidecar:
