Hi, we intend to change our UC solution from CME running on a 2901 to BE3K. As we are a small organization, we are using a BRI interface to connect to the public phone network. Our plan is to deploy BE3K and use the 2901 as a gateway to PSTN for BE3K. However, i couldn't find any reference that this represents a supported setup. Is it supported, and if yes, how do we need to setup BE3K and the ISR?
Thanks & best regards
Frank.

Hi Frank,
This is certainly possible (SIP trunk to 2901 configured as a PSTN gateway).
We will be providing additional guidance on how to deploy this solution with our next BE3000 release in late Spring.
Regards,
Andy

Thanks for your reply on this Andy..!
However i can't find this in the admin guide under "gateways":
Does "connection type "refer to the connection from the 2901 to the PSTN? If yes, i would regard BRI connection as being unsupported for 8.6.4. Or did i miss something?
Could you give me any reference to a document how to configure BE3K and 2901 with a BRI interface *before* late spring? ;-)
Cheers Frank.

Frank,
Be3K to 2901 BRI is currently not supported, but it should "technically" work when connected through a SIP trunk. We are not focusing on the integration as this is not exactly financially economical solution unless you already have a 2901. However we are verifying the integration and may release documents supporting the integration in the future, for deployment where 2901 is already part of the solution.
