Hi everyone,
I bought the SPA504G and I noticed an annoying problem.
I start with saying that me and the other party use only the G722 HD codec.
During a call if I talk while the other is talking, the voice of the other party loses quality, like if temporarily the codec would become something like G711. After 1 second the voice returns normal, until our voices re-overlap.
Before the Cisco I had a Gigaset N300A and I didn't have this problem.
Small update: I noticed that if I lover the input gain of the Cisco's handset, then the problem appears less often.
Any theories?
Thanks

Well, it's either firmware bug or a network issue. We are unable to debug firmware issues, thus we should confirm or reject second hypothesis.
It require full network dump of affected call - SIP packets, RTP packets, syslog&debug packets (with debug turned on, highest level).

I can do that for you. Can you tell me step by step how to do what you asked?
Thanks

According syslog&debug read Debug and syslog Messages from the SPA3xx, SPA5xxG, SPA9xx, & WIP310 IP Phones
To capture packets you need a computer connected to appropriate place of your network and packet capturing software running on it. I can't provide step by step instruction as I know no your network topology nor the operating system you are running on the capturing computer. Ask your local network administrator for help.
