I have a client who wants to be able to report on all of the activity on the extensions in their office.
She just wants basic data such as incoming calls to each extension, incoming calls to each Hunt Group, time spent on each extension, calls made by extension etc., that can be imported into an Excel file, that she can then manipulate into Excel graphs.
Here is my current understanding of how the UC5xx works.
Option#1: You can use Call Accounting, which uses an FTP server. It is my understanding that this requires a 3rd party application that cost money.
Option#2: You can use CME from within BACD, and send .csv files to a TFTP server (not FTP) for calls that are sent to a Hunt Group. It is my understanding that you can import these .csv files (or the one file that shows up with no extension).
The issue is this:
She does not want to pay for any 3rd party Call Accounting Software, which eliminates Option 1.
She wants to keep track of usage on extensions, but she does not have any BACD or related Hunt Groups.
Also, does anybody know what the difference between the two types of files that appear in a TFTP folder, based on CME?
There is one file that does not have an extension, and it is 251Kb in size.
There are other files that have .csv extensions, and are 1k each. These seem to be created one by one on an hourly interval, based on the Basic ACD -> Hunt-group report parameters -> Frequency of reports(hrs):
