CUCME Lab NFR Guidence

Hi All,

We are a Cisco partner and I am in the process of preparing for Unified Call Manager Express Specialization certification and would like some direction in purchasing a Cisco Router/CUE for testing under the NFR program.

I would like to know what would be the cheapest option to take which would not compromise the ability to test all aspects of CUCME?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Hi Steve,

Did you get a chance to sit the IIUC2 exam yet? How did it go?

You have probably already looked at this document, but it is the lab requirements for the UC Express specialization.

When we did this recently, we used the existing phones from our UC500 lab gear and purchased a 2811 ISR with 15 UC licenses (C2811-15UC-VSEC/K9) along with the HWIC-4ESW-POE card. That should be all you need to get started.

The ISR UC bundles can be found at this link.

Cole,

Thanks for the references. I have taken your advice on board and I will build a lab and do self study. The cost of attending instructor led training exceeds the total cost of a lab and I prefer going at my on pace.

Appreciate your help.
