Installed a UC560 at a customer site with a SIP connection to a COX Edgewater. Incoming and outgoing calls are working but having trouble with conference calls. Conference calls work internally but when you try to conference in an external caller the call fails.
Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Could you please share the output of "show dspfarm profile".
Also please double check if the codec is g711ulaw. Debug ccsip messages and debug ccsip media, and debug voip ccapi inout should tell you if the codec is 711ulaw.
You may have setup g711ulaw but something may have changed in the config.
Best regards,
Alex

Hello Tim,
You should check if you have the conference set with different codecs if you are using g729 for the sip trunk.

Hi Tim,
What is the type of the conference ad-hoc(you call the other participants) or meet me(participant calls a specific number) that you are trying to get working?
If you are using CCA just enable the hardware conferencing.
how many participants you are trying to add to the conference and wha is the type of the phone?
Could you please share the output of "show dspfarm profile".
Best regards,
Alex

The type of conference is ad-hoc. Calls fail when trying to add one external participant. The type of phones are SPA514G.

What exactly do you mean the call "fails"; re-order tone, doesn't ring out, ...?
Can you provide the output of "debug ccsip mess" while attempting a conference?

Codec issue, everything is good now. Thanks
