Question for all the experts out there, I was wondering what will be the same for features and functionality between the BE6000M/H and BE6000S. Is everything supported, for example, Unified Messaging (Single Inbox), Cisco Unified Attendant Console (and what versions), Click-to-call dialling via Outlook, etc.
Searches have come up empty or vague; if someone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you kindly in advance!

Hi,
Just to add to Terry's response and your specific question about Unified Messaging.
This is supported on all BE6000 models (S/M/H), but requires 2 CPUs (refer to the Unity Connection installation guide for more details) - rather than just 1 for Integrated Messaging. If you wish to use UM on the BE6000S, then you won't be able to use either Cisco Paging Server or the IM & P server.

Andy

Refer to below data sheets for the applications supported onBE6kM/H and S. This tells the fixed applications type and number and also maximum users supported on the different platforms.
Ref: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/unified-communications/business-edition-6000/data_sheet_c78-717454.html
Feature support will be consistent and according to the version of the application across the platforms (as long as the application itself is supported on all sizes)
Table 1. Cisco BE6000M and BE6000H Models System Capacity
Attribute | Capacity |
Maximum number of users | 1000 |
Maximum number of mailboxes and voicemail ports | 1000 mailboxes and 24 voicemail ports |
Number of contact center agents | 100 |
Number of presence users | 1000 |
Number of devices supported | BE6000H: 2500 devices BE6000M: 1200 devices |
Maximum number of co-resident applications | BE6000H: Choice of up to Nine applications (Eight collaboration + One provisioning) BE6000M: Choice of up to Five applications (Four collaboration + One provisioning) |
Table 2. Cisco BE6000S Model System Capacity
Attribute | Capacity |
Maximum number of users | 150 |
Maximum number of mailboxes and voicemail ports | 150 mailboxes and 24 voicemail ports |
Number of presence users | 150 |
Number of devices supported | 300 |
Maximum number of fixed applications | Fixed combination of Five applications: Cisco Unified Communications, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Instant Messaging and Presence Service, Cisco Paging Server, plus Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning (management). Additional Cisco and third-party applications are not supported. |

Andrew,
Thank you for the response back! That is good to know about UM needing the additional CPU resources. For the sake of not over provisioning the resources, would have to drop an application. This it unfortunate to hear, since the customer wants to utilize all of the applications on the BE6000S.
Will have to take this back to the drawing board and review options with the customer.
Considered my question answered!

Can we advertise this well on the myciscocommunity.com. This was news to me and could be missed easily. Also add some notes here that is is supported if you take out an app.

What do you need Srini? Details of the 2vCPU/UM supported are listed on the Docwiki page just below the link you provided.

I was looking at more of an announcement in the myciscocommunity site just so that it reaches more folks. There are folks are on that side of the community too (many pre sales who benefit from this a lot) vs support forums. So under small medium business space to post a big headline or announcement will go a long way.
I did miss the 2 v CPU comment, I was focusing on the 1000 v CPU and didn't see it.

Terry,
So according to this statement:
Feature support will be consistent and according to the version of the application across the platforms (as long as the application itself is supported on all sizes)
If the feature is supported by Cisco on the BE6000M/H, for example, Unified Messaging (Single Inbox) then it will be supported and work on the BE6000S?

Yes it will work on BE6KS as well. Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks for chiming in Andrew (+5).
