How to configure FXO lines

I have a new installation of a UC320W that includes a specific FXO line the owner wants to reserve as a private line.  He happens to use a DECT phone plugged into the FXS port.  Does anyone know how to configure that specific FXO line to not be available for general outbound dialing?  Secondly, how would a DECT phone choose that specific FXO line for outbound dialing?

Hi Mike,

One option is to configure the system as Blended mode.  Provision the private FXO as a Shared FXO Line just on the one user's phone.  On the Shared FXO Line Page make sure Include in Outbound Dialing is UNCHECKED.  See below.

That definitely helps but it doesn't tell me how to get the DECT phone to dial out using that particular line.  So far I haven't found a * code that allows you to choose an outbound line.  Perhaps this feature doesn't actually exist.

If this is the case then is there a way to prioritize the outbound line selection?

Mike,

I read your initial query a little too quickly.  Unfortunately, the only solution I can suggest at the time is to dedicate the FXO circuit to the DECT phone so it isn't connected into the UC320.  If SPA phone users need to reach the dect phone they can use speed dials to the FXO number.  In this release we don't have the ability to assign shared FXO lines to FXS ports.  Its something on the feature list for a down the road release.
