How to create application on the IP phone?

I am not sure if I am making myself clear or understandable. I saw that from the screen of cisco phone, we can see like live weather or stock or something else. What kind of configuration needed to do this feature?

Can someone let me know if this is doable on UC520 or does this feature even exist?

You can search and find companies that make applications that will work on CME and UC500.  You can create your own as well.

There are examples in the SDK and on cisco.com.  I have attached some here as well.  You can make your own as well.  I believe getting help from development is a pay service.
