All,
A general question, would/has anyone deployed a UC320 without putting it behind a firewall?
It seems to me to be a bad idea, but would like some opinions.
Regards
Tony

We install most of ours without a firewall.
The only services exposed on the UC320 are the SIP server and the remote https admin. Both can be disabled (not that I think it is a security risk to have them enabled...)
I don't think theres really any scenario where not having a firewall in front is a security risk -- with the exception of having remote admin enabled with a bad password.

The UC320 by default blocks all incoming connections. Only replies to outgoing connections are allowed. If you would like to allow incoming connections you would need to use Port Forwarding. The UC320 uses HTTPS for remote access so it is pretty secure.
If you are looking for more features with respect to Security like Anti Virus, Intrusion Detection and Prevention I would recommend the SA500.
