Is there a way to remotely turn on night mode for a UC320W? In case of bad weather the customer would like to be able to call in and change the system mode to night (closed) mode.

Hi Mike,
There isn't a way to remotely control the "force night" button on the phone. However an indirect way to accomplish this would be to enable remote access to your UC320W Configuration utility and enable automatic schedule under Day/Night Features. Customer could then browse in and set the bad weather day as a holiday ... it would cause AA to operate in night mode.
Hope this helps,
Jeff

One challenge to that is that any changes on the console of the phone controller cause the system to totally reboot and all phones to
reboot.
So plan on your phone system being down for 7-10 minutes for the reboot.
I think that Cisco is working to make small changes to the system (like night mode) no reboot the entire controller and all phones.

That would certainly be a great enhancement. Bad weather, etc. is always a pain to deal with. Changing the prompts is really easy to do remotely but it seems the changing mode things got missed in development. Real world is always different from working in a lab :). Thanks.
