Receive FAX over SIP Trunk

hi,

i need to configure a fax machine with my UC560, we have SIP trunk for incoming and outgoing calls

--> Fax from costumer --> Sip Provider --> UC560 --> FXS Port --> Analog Fax Machine -->

how can i configure it

Hello,

All you really need to do is to configure the FXS port as "Fax", and then direct incoming calls to that number to the FXS/Fax extension.  (This is assuming that you have a dedicated DID for faxes.)

we dont have any dedicated line for fax.

we have to assign a phone number from a range of telco numbers (SIP Trunk) to be for fax

i configured the line to ring the analog phone connected in the fxs port , but when i pick up i here to much disturbance sound

Hi Edwin,

You can try to set the FXS port to "Common area phone" and see if you will receive faxes. Configure  > Telephony  > Ports and Trunks > FXS Ports > "Common area phone". FXS ports assigned to this role are configured on the Analog Extensions tab in the Users and Phones window ( Configure  > Telephony  > Users and Extensions > User and Phones).

Please try and tell if this is working for you. If it is not working please check what is your voice and your fax protocol over the SIP trunk.
