What's the best way to transfer CUE config and data?
Can you swap CUE flash card to new UC?

Hi Joe,
Download 3CDaemon, and use the backup feature on the CUE through web GUI, it works well. It will back up data and config.

I tried restoring Config then Data, but evidently CUE doesn't like that order.
CUE would come partially up, crash, and reboot.
I swapped the CUE flash cards and all is well.
That's what I will do in the future.

I would lean toward backup and restore. CCA Configuration Archive.
This way you get both halves of the config (IOS/CME) and CUE.
Or swap both the IOS FLASH and the CUE flash (both externally mounted on 560. Careful for license transfer. I never did that but seems reasonable.

That's what I thought too, BUT config archive doesn't backup CUE.
Backup up one of your test boxes and then open up the Jar file - just CME stuff.
When you restore CUE onto new box, do you restore data, then config? or does it matter?

I did. I tried it myself late last night and saw the CUE directory was empty.
I reported it to the Engineers this monring at 1AM.
I am waiting to hear back. This is a bug for sure cause it used to.

Ironically, config archive takes cue offline while it is backing up CME.
It worked great swapping out CUE flash. No issues.
Personnally, I think swapping out IOS and CUE flashes would be better and faster.
Of course, you have to transfer off the licenses from old system 1st.
I'm going to try that next time.

I just heard back.
Engineering will send me some type of unzipping tool for the CUE backup data.
They looked at my backup jar and said all the CUE data was there and a restore would resrore CUE Config and Voice mail and AA.
Just no show running in there, so its not very readable.
As soon as I get the tool and ready it I can post a screen shot. But the good news is we are backing up CUE.

Surgeforce 7-ZIP can see it. Its CUE data format, but its there.

I'm using 7zip and there is no cue folder within the tar file

This reproducible for you?
When you run backup, does it consistently not produce CUE data?
My .jar files are not readable with Winzip and are readable with 7zip but are consistently there.
You should open a case with logs since there is something else there going on if you don't have this in yours.
