SPA-3102 Connect to a NEC IPK II Electra Elite SIP Problems

I have purchased the SPA-3102 in order to make available a pots line from the VOIP network.  The system we are using is the NEC IPK II Electra Elite.  I have two sip client licenses.

I have set up the SPA-3102 to connect to the CPU IP address of the NEC IPK II.  Port 5070 is the open port from the IPK II.

Either I have something configured wrong in the SPA-3102 or the NEC IPK II, but I cannot seem to get any connection to the phone server.

If anyone has experience connecting these devices, please contact me with your input.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

The syslog reads the following:  (There is a 400 BAD REQUEST that seems to be causing problems.)

Dear Claude;

It looks like a Registration issue, so first question is: Does the NEC IPK II requires the SIP trunk on client-server mode? i.e. does it require registration? The SPA3102 does not accept any registration requests, so it is either a client (issues registration requests) or peer (does not require registration). If so, configure the NEC IPK II to be peer to peer (no registration).

On the SPA3102, please go to the [Line] sections of the SPA and set Make call without Reg: YES and Ans call without Reg: Yes. Submit the changes and try again.

Otherwise we would need to look at the full traces, make sure you set SIP Debug Option on the [Line] of SPA to full.

Regards
Alberto

Dear Alberto,

Thank you for your help. I checked the docs for the IPK II and it says it does not support peer-to-peer.  I just decided to return the SPA3102 and install a pots line instead.

I appreciate your help.
