> Initial and top level question: Are you enabling that feature by dialing the default *26?
According to Dist Ring Setting under section Supplementary Service Settings on page http:///voice/ > User 1 tab, yes the feature is enabled. However, I would think that using *26/*46 to enable/disable that feature would impact that setting but it does not. Each time I use these activation codes I am getting some kind of busy signal and the value associated with Dist Ring Setting remains the same. Note that I did make sure that Dist Ring Act Code and Dist Ring Deact Code are set to their default value, which are *26 and *46, respectively.

As mentioned in my original post "by changing the default ring value under http:///voice/ > User 1 > Ring Settings I was also able to confirm that the phone I was using was capable of handling the different ring patterns". Are you saying that because the phone can handle different ring patterns when the default ring is change, it does not necessarily means that it can do so when the instruction comes from the distinctive ring feature?

OK. Actually I have tried scores of different combinations, to not avail. I am getting the impression that this feature does not work at all. Note that I have upgraded the firmware to the latest (5.2.12) so I am really not sure what to do next.
