Hi,
I have 20 SPA504G phones installed with Freepbx (Asterisk) version 12.0.76.4. The system has been in place for about 15 months & working fine for most of that time. Recently I was told that some phones are always busy (486 busy here) however you can call out on them without any issue. Internal / external calls they are busy, reboot, still busy.
Some of the phones i factory reset & upgraded to 7.6.2. Other phones which weren't busy were also upgraded to 7.6.2. The phones are all POE using a Cisco 24 port switch (SF200-24FP). As I said - they all worked fine for quite some time.
At this point all phones are on the latest firmware. I noticed this morning that two phones were 486 busy when no phones were in use. I clicked on the submit changes to reboot the phones & that seems to have fixed the issue for the moment. I have the PBX set to re-provision the phones (all) every 5 minutes in hopes of catching what is going on.
These phones that are busy are not always the same. So far a reboot is fixing it but in the past a reboot wouldnt help at all. The firmware change seems to have helped.
Any ideas what is going on or how to stop it? Something I can set on the phones to do an auto kick after 5 minutes? Anything?
Thanks,
Rich
