Hey Everyone,
The problem i'm actually having is just that I have 1 phone now that will not become active. It will turn on, has the same settings as all the other phones, but I cannot get any green activity lights from it.
I Randomly had this problem with a couple other phones during a reconfiguration phase, which I fixed by simply taking the phone down into the server room and plugging it into the switch directly, bypassing wallports/patch panel...strange, I know.
More information about the environment:
17 of these phones at a location using Vonage hosted SIP Service
Internet -- Modem -- Sonicwall -- SG500-48G + SG500-24G Stack
VLAN 10 = Data GE22-->10UP-->Sonicwall X2 Switches = L2 Mode
VLAN 12 = Voice GE24-->12UP-->Sonciwall X3 DHCP = Sonicwall
SG500-24G has the uplinks for both subnets to the Sonicwall, ports are set in default cisco trunk state, all ports to endpoint devices are access ports
We did have all trunks links and setup like: Computer-->Phone-->Switch....but, just decided to reconfigure as above because:
1.Wiring in building cannot be trusted
2.We recently had new wall ports at each location anyway
So anyway, more info than probably necessary, but oh well.
Thanks
