I have a UC520 with a SIP trunk to Broadvox which is partially working. I went through CCA and created a Generic SIP trunk. The trunk is registered with Broadvox which I verified using the show sip reg status command. Inbound calls have two way audio and I have not discovered any issues. However, I have one way audio on outbound calls. On outbound calls I am able to speak into the phone registered with the UC520 and hear on my cell but audio does not work from my cell to UC520 phone.
I spoke with the provider and they mentioned I am sending a private address in the contact field of the invite message. The result is their switch cannot route the media stream back to this address. Now let me say that I am not a SIP guru and his explantion sounds correct.
My UC520 sits behind an ASA with a static mapping. What controls the source IP in the SIP INVITE? How would I modify this on the UC520?
Thanks

The ASA controls the source IP for SIP. It will actually rewrite the headers on the SIP messages to reflect the correct source and destination IP addresses.
If your trunks are registering, and you are having one-way audio, that could be an issue of the RTP stream being blocked one way as well. I would verify that no access-lists are blocking any RTP traffic between the UC520 and the SIP carrier.

I figured as much but was having issues. I was running 8.2(3) on the ASA and enabled INPSECT SIP but this did not correct the issue. I recalled that I had this working at some point but had recently upgraded from 8.2(1). So I back rev'd the code on the ASA and it know works.
