UC520 w/SPA504G Phone Message URL

Does anyone know what must be programmed into the UC520 in order to make it so that when the voicemail button is pressed on the spa504g the voicemail will be activated? currently when I hit this button nothing happens. My guess is that the Messages URL is not set correctly as you can see in the configuration screenshot of the phone and within CCME. If someone knows what the default address is for this Messages URL that would probably get things working. Please advise.

thanks

How was this box configured?  If it was done using CCA then there is a problem because CCA should set this up automatically for you.

If it was not configured through CCA, then you need to configure the voicemail directory number with the following CLI:

telephony-service

voicemail 299

but using the directory number you have set up for the voicemail pilot number rather than the 299 I have used as an example.

Cheers,

Dave.

The Messages URL box is always left empty if you are using CUE.  The messages URL box is used if you want to use another mailbox.  If the messages button doesn't work, it's because it wasn't configured properly.

To Configure Voicemail do the following.

On the left hand side of CCA under the "Telephony" section click on Voicemail.

Under the setup tab you will configure the voicemail access extension and other features you want to use.

Under the Mailboxes tab verify that the user and user extension you configured is in this box and that the mailbox is enabled.
