Hi everybody,
I set up a call pickup group with several extension, which is working fine.
But you can only recognize an incoming call if you have configured BLF, but that also a problem, because you can´t see if the extension is busy or ringing (see my other question), or you here that another phone is ringing.
It would be also interesting to see, who is calling, before answering a call.
I hope you have a solution.
Bye
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
You can use shared line for this (to see when phone is ringing).
Just for curiosity is it so critical to have line blinking while ringing or just red(like it is now)? e.g. if the boss is going to ignore your forwarded call or give you a priority it does not matter anyway if his phone is ringing or he is speaking already on the phone he will be busy at this moment I believe.
HTH,
Alex

I don't think there is a 'solution', also because in my opinion, pickup is a kludgy and poor way to answer calls except perhaps for the most occasional use.
If you think about, seeing caller ID for other people calls would be annoying if not even a privacy matter.
If is is ever anticipated that a phone has to anwer calls for someone else seeing caller ID etc,, give it a shared DN, make an hunt group, or anything else, but do not base the working of an organization racing for calls.
For this reason none of my customers has call pickup and once educated about, nobody has complained about.
