Ad-Hoc Conference Not working from some phones

DataPathInc
Level 1
Level 1

So far I've tested and found 3 phones that can't make a 3-way/ad-hoc conference call, but I have tested 3 or 4 others that work just fine.  Two of the phones that can't make the calls are SPA525g's and one is a 7900 series.  The phones that DO work are also spa525g's.

What I noticed today was all of the phone's that can't make the Ad-hoc conference calls all show C001 on the phone for a few seconds after the call fails.  When the call fails the person initiating the call loses both the 2nd party they called and the 3rd party, but party 2 and party 3 are actually connected and can talk to each other.  The phones that ARE working flash that they are using C0014 for a brief second.  I'm not sure what tells the phones which conference dn to grab or what is wrong with the C001 config.  I've posted parts of the config with notes below.  Please let me know if you need any additional information.

You only need two of them, I never configure more then one anyway, the rest are just consuming resources for no reason at all you can not even use them, if your system supported that many ad-hoc conferences it would have to be a one of a kind system

Also put the "no huntstop" command on "562"

Can you also do a "sh telephony-service" and post that, I would like to see how many sessions you have enabled there as well. I am also concerned that you have left no room at all for transcoding and you don't even have a dsp profile for transcoding? You may need to rethink the configuration of the system, again another rule of thumb is to look at having transcoding enabled on the system even if you think you are not going to use it, you just never know and when it is not enabled you can end up sitting there for hours trying to work out what is going wrong.

Other than the above nothing is sticking out, in any event posting a txt file of your config is much easier to work through then it being posted on here, might want to keep that in mind, because sometimes what you post may not be enough information and we may need your whole config to make sure that everything correlates to their respective points.

Cheers,

David.

Hello David,

Thanks for the quick response.  I removed C001 (ephone-dn 596 and ephone-dn 597) and everything started working.  All of those dn's were configured by CCA.  It's a UC560 and it's set to allow 2 meetme conference bridges with up to 16 people each and 14 ad-hoc conference calls.  The dn's generated are for C001 to C0014 so it appeared correct.  I've attached a screenshot of the CCA conferencing screen.  Thanks again for all of your help.

Hi Data Path,

Thanks for updating me on how it went for you, I am glad it fixed the problem up.

Thanks also for that image. Again at this stage I only use CCA to provision the system, and one of those reasons is because of the excessive code that gets created or left behind, such as your instance.

Cheers,

David.
