Hello Tim,

I don't want to blanket all the of 7900 series as I have not worked with some of the older models, but in general, yes they are all capable of octal lines..  (At least the 7940's, 7960's, and 7970's.)

6900 series phones are not capable of octal lines.

If you know the specific model numbers of the phones you are wanting to use, I can find out for you.

Thank you,

Darren

Octoline does not mean up to 8 concurrent calls on a phone. It means up to 8, on a (likely shared) extension.

All phones can be configured for octoline, but each model supports a different number of concurrent calls.

That number can be seen as max_streams in show ephone.

Hi Tim,

Octal line are not supported in 69xx series phones.

Following list of phones in which octal line are supported ,

7940,7941, 7941GE, 7942, 7945, 7960, 7961, 7961GE, 7962, 7965, 7970 and 7971.

Thanks,

Saravanan.

I have octo-line working fine on many phone model different from the ones you listed above.

Can you refer to a document stating what you say ?
